EXTREMELY cute! The fairies in this remind me of Chicchana Yukitsuki Sugar, which is an extremely cute anime (that I need to go back and finish)! The story is told much like the original TV run of Haruhi in that it's presented out of chronological order, but that just makes it that much more interesting IMO. Definitely going to pick up the light novel now that I've watched this.

Known for its iconic OP theme, Blend S is easily one of my all-time favorites. A cast of cute characters working at a maid cafe run by a very strange Italian man, Dino. Features Tokui Sora (VA of Yazawa Nico from Love Live!) in the role of Hideri, a certifiable cutie. Maika and Mafuyu best girls.

Lovable all-girl cast of characters about friends in a band together. Our protagonist is Gotou Hitori, an extreme introvert and recovering shut-in guitar virtuoso. Feel-good fun with great music & storytelling. The comedic moments aren't forced and the pacing feels great. The Lucky Star of the 2020's.

Cute series about middle-school demihuman girls and their teacher, who studied demihumans in college. He conducts a series of interviews with them to learn more about the lives of demihumans. Wholesome, heartwarming, feel-good series. No weird creeping on the kids or fanservice from children, but the relationship between the main teacher and a succubus instructor is pretty funny.

Another cute series featuring an all-girl cast, the characters in this show are all part-time workers at cafes in their town. Tippy is cute as heck, Chino best girl. Chiya & Syaro are also cute.

yuru yuri
An absolutely stellar slice-of-life anime about the newly founded 'Amusement Club' at Nanamori middle school, taking over the old club room used by the now-defunct Tea Ceremony Club. Every character has their charms, and the show is a delight. Never a dull moment! I can't recommend it enough. Sakurako, Chitose, and Kyouko are all certifiable cuties, but my best girls are the Furutani sisters, Kaede and Himawari.

solid middle-of-the-road idol anime with lots of cute girls and great talents! Favorites are Yayoi, Iori, and Ritsuko. I love idols, so this was an interesting behind-the-scenes look into what day-to-day life is like for them. Good fun, even if you've never played the games (I never had when I watched it).

Hilarious anime about three failed yakuza who are forced to go overseas to Thailand and get sex change operations and become idols managed by their boss. Really strange but has funny moments. Vaguely reminds me of Cromartie.

Coming in as an existing fan of the manga, I enjoyed this, but I think if I had not already read it, this would not have inspired me to do so. Love the characters and setting, this covers the first arc or so of the manga. Funny, but lacking imo. Tomoko hits a little too close to home at times. Yuu-chan best girl.

Has a genuinely moving love story in the ending arc of the series, but starts off as a regular school comedy. Some star-studded talents in this, among them Kugimiya Rie (Taiga), Horie Yui (Minorin), and Kitamuri Eri (Ami). Yasuko best girl, but Taiga is highly loveable as well. Greatest love story ever told? Perhaps not, but a great one nonetheless!

if you've never seen RWBY, this starts from the beginning of the series, but introduces a new storyline taking place during the first chapter of RWBY, so you won't miss much jumping in here. That being said, the events of this version are pretty different from the original series. It's still very good, though. I wish Shaft had acquired RWBY...

An excellent iyashikei series about a robot running a quiet cafe on the outskirts of a futuristic Yokohama, in which the sea levels have risen to cover most of the land and much of the countryside is underwater. She reminisces about her owner who has gone on a leave of absence. The yuri of longing.

Originally saw this dubbed when it aired in America in the 90's on Fox Kids; a solid isekai-before-isekai-was-a-genre with giant robots. Merle best girl. We also stan Dilandau. OST is a 10/10 bc Kanno Yoko.

Common 90's harem anime with a likeable cast of girl characters. When I saw it as a child, my favorite was Ayeka, and I still like her, but Washuu is my one true love. Sasami & Ryou-ouki are the cutest. The original space opera-meets-rural Japan harem anime.

The first anime I watched as an adult after many years of not watching. I'm not sure if it's worth the hype, but it's definitely good. Mikuru & Nagatocchi best girls. Really reawakened my love of the medium, so this one is near and dear to my heart.
